The Ski Area
Méribel is situated at an altitude of 1450m in the heart of Les Trois Valées, the largest and most concentrated ski area in the world with 600km of well-linked pistes, 200 lifts and hundreds of snow canons to top up that snow cover.
There is something for everyone here with 49 green and 89 blue runs for beginners, 116 red runs for intermediate skiers and 37 black runs and endless off-piste opportunities for more seasoned skiers. The main ski season runs from December to April.
Méribel also boasts excellent private ski schools to cater for all levels, extensive cross country tracks, three specialist snowboard parks, a separate snowboard area and an Olympic centre with an ice skating rink and ice karting. You can also hire snow-shoes and snow bikes and try out dog sledding.
In the evenings, there are a number of excellent restaurants and late night bars and clubs for those who like to stay out until the early hours. There are also good crèche facilities and a free bus service operating in the resort to help you get around.
